Kasbah Tamadot

Escape the cold this half term

How miserable is this weather?? It’s not too late to book your escape to balmy climes for February half term. Here are some of our favourites with availability from i-escape Kids Collection:

Rock the Kasbah

Richard Branson’s five star Kasbah Tamadot, deep in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, is usually an adult only affair…except during school hols when they recognise that letting the rug rats in makes good sense! They lay on a whole host of great family activities – Berber cookery classes anyone? – as well as a kids’ programme, with treasure hunts, tennis lessons, horse and cart rides and even their own Moroccan tea parties. Meanwhile you can be busy checking out the infinity pool and the hammam.

Four night stays between 10th and 26th February start from £531 per person, based on a family of two adults, one child and a baby sharing a deluxe pool suite. The price includes bed and breakfast, but excludes flights. For details visit www.i-escape.com/kasbah-tamadot

Slick it in the city of Madrid

If your brood aren’t keen on a city break, tempt them along to Madrid with the promise of a visit to Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which is currently in the city. Here, young visitors can get sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses using the Sorting Hat, see some of the moving portraits, throw a Quaffle Ball in the Quidditch area and visit a recreation of Hagrid’s Hut, the Great Hall and the Gryffindor Common Room

Base yourselves at the Madrid Boutique Apartments, located in and around Plaza Santa Ana from £73 per person for a three night stay (between 10th and 26th February), based on four people sharing a two bedroom apartment. Visit www.i-escape.com/madrid-boutique-apartments.

Beach fun in Cyprus

Mess around on the beach or in one of the four swimming pools at the swanky Almyra – which you can follow with a meal at one of their four restaurants. There’s a club for the kids and a spa for worn out parents. Those with babes will appreciate the Baby Go Lightly service which means you don’t have to cart car seats, bottle warmers, high chairs and the like over on the plane.

A seven night stay at the Almyra between 11th and 18th February starts from £313 per person based on four people sharing two interconnecting rooms, and includes bed and breakfast (but excludes flights). Guests get free buffet dinners, too, when booking 5+ nights through i-escape. Visit www.i-escape.com/almyra for details.
