It’s not too late to book a family Easter break abroad. I like the look of the new L’Amandier Villa Collection in Morocco’s Ouirgane Valley. It nestles at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, not far from Marrakech.
The decor in the two and three bedroom villas is rather simple and beautiful, with bare plaster walls and plenty of space. Outside are plunge pools to cool off in and roof terraces with day beds to lounge around on. We like…
A hotel near the private villas will open after Easter (villa guests will be able to use the spa and restaurant) but, in the meantime, the villas are enjoying a cut price opening offer.
A one week family package costs from £3,200 (will go up to £3,840) for a two bedroom villa sleeping four people and from £4,200 (will go up to £5,040) for a three bedroom villa sleeping six people. The package includes accommodation, airport transfers, continental breakfast on your first morning, a ‘High Tree Walk’ adventure climb and zip wire at Terres D’Amanar Accro Park (including instruction and lunch), a half day walk through the red earth gorges of the Ouirgane Valley with picnic lunch, a roof terrace BBQ with a private chef one evening plus one night of babysitting. Other activities can be arranged, and using the onsite concierge and chauffeurs should make it a doddle.
You can organise for your fridge to be full when you arrive or, if self catering just ain’t your idea of a holiday, hire one of the private chefs or head out to local restaurants, including Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamodot.
