Fans of the sleepy little island of Anguilla love its dreamy beaches, smart little hotels and thriving foodie scene. But what they love even more is what the island doesn’t have… visiting cruise ships, high rises, casinos… Anguilla is a little taste of laid back luxury, Caribbean style.
The island’s Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa opened in February and has already won a Best Beach Hotel in the World award by jetsetter.com. The location helps – it’s on the sparkling sands of Shoal Bay, itself often voted best beach in the Caribbean.
Facilities include two infinity pools with ocean views, two restaurants and a spa and hammam housed within a 300 year old Thai house.
The 69 rooms and suites have oceanfront terraces and balconies and a sleek, modern Caribbean décor, with much use of natural materials. Some have plunge pools and there are two and three bedroom suites perfect for families (there’s also a kids club).
If you tire of chilling out on the sand or next to the pool, there’s tennis, watersports, yoga, rum tasting… We want to be there!
